ADMISSION NOTICE
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to MBBS Course commencing on 1st August, 2010. Entrance Examination will be held on 01.06.2010 (Tuseday). Application forms, complete in all respects, must reach AIIMS, New Delhi latest by 5.00 P.M. on 25.03.2010.

AIIMS 2010 MBBS ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility Criteria: (i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply. (ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010.
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner:

B) Off-line : The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Demand Draft of Rs.1050/- (Rs.850/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2010. The name of the course applied for must be written on reverse of the Demand Draft alongwith candidate’s name. The request must reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110 608 on or before 15.03.2010.

Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010” should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the Board’s website: http://www.aipmt.nic.in/. Candidates submitting online application have been given an exemption of Rs 100 in the examination fee irrespective of their category. Candidates are required to submit a fee of Rs 700 for General/OBC category (Rs 350 for SC/ST category) by Credit Card or through DD drawn in favor of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Candidates can apply offline as well. Candidates desirous to apply offline can obtain the information bulletin and application form against cash payment of Rs 800 for General/OBC category (Rs 450 for SC/ST category) from the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE. One can obtain the same through post by sending a request along with a DD of Rs 850 for General/OBC category (Rs 500 for SC/ST category) payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a self-addressed envelope of size 12” * 10”. 4.Armed Forces Medical College - AFMC Entrance Exam
AFMC Entrance Exam 2011 is going to be conducted on 02 Aug 2011. Eligibility

■To be eligible for AFMC entrance exam 2011, candidates must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for and that to in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.

NOTE: There is no NRI quota in the college. All admissions are only on the basis of merit, taken overall, in an entrance examination, other tests and interviews.

All candidates from India or abroad with qualifications other than the 'Plus Two Examination of Higher Secondary Board' of Tamilnadu State should obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the TN Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai 600 032, Tamilnadu, in order to be eligible for admission. Only candidates who qualify the written test will be called for the interviews.

THE MBBS COURSE

The MBBS course is of four and a half year's duration and is followed by one year of Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship. The course begins with a short foundation course exposing students to basic principles of Communication, Ethics and Problem Based Learning. The Undergraduate course in Medicine comprises of three stages. The first stage of 12 months duration consists of the basic sciences of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. The next stage is of 18 months duration and comprises Clinical and para-clinical subjects - Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine.

The last stage is of 24 months duration and covers Ophthalmology, Oto-rhinolaryngology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery and Obstetrics&Gynaecology.

A block posting in Community Health is an integral part of each stage. Posting in mission hospitals and secondary care centres is a unique feature of medical education. The internship lasting for 12 months comprises of postings in Community Health, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Child Health, Orthopaedics, Casualty and short electives in various specialities. All these are as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.

There is an application fee which can be sent as a demand draft, payable at Vellore to the CMC Vellore Association Account. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO THE MBBS COURSE

1. Candidates should have passed the qualifying equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English. A candidate for admission to “medical course” “must have 60%* marks at +2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and should have passed in English”. (*60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC, 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC, and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates). (BC, MBC, SC/ST as defined by the TN Government; all rules subject to change as per State & University guidelines) Candidates should have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent examination in one and the same attempt in the subjects.

2. Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the said year.

6.INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY.
The first stage of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University MBBS Entrance Test 2011 is scheduled for 7th May. The Phase II of this exam will be conducted on 28th May. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIP) organizes common entrance examination to provide admission to a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In the 2011-12 session, the university will feature more than 20, 000 vacancies across 11 schools and 103 associated colleges.

Set up by the by Govt. of NCT of Delhi in 1998, the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is also acknowledged by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India under section 12B of UGC Act.

Eligibility for GGSIP Medical CET 2011

Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear in the common entrance examination conducted for admission to the MBBS course of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The minimum age of the applicant should be 17years.

Candidates who have passed class 12 under the 10+2 scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 40% marks. Those who are waiting for their results in 2011 can also apply for the CET: MBBS – 2011. However, the admission will be confirmed on the basis of candidate’s performance in test and the evidence of his or her successful completion of the qualifying examination. The aforementioned legibility criteria will also be taken into consideration.

Application Procedure for GGSIPU Medical CET 2011

Application forms and admission brochure for GGS IPU-CET 2011 can be obtained for Rs 1000 during working hours from the designated branches of Punjab & Sind Bank. Candidates can also receive the essentials through registered or speed post. For this, they need to send a request to Joint Registrar (Academic), Room No. 108, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi – 110403. The application should be accompanied with DD of Rs 1100 made in the name of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It will be payable at Delhi.

GGSIPU Medical CET 2011 Format

Usually, the medical entrance exam conducted by IPU has two stages. Each stage consists of 3 hours long common entrance test. There will be 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. 4 options will be provided against each question. Candidates would have to choose the right option from them. Every question will contain 3 marks. For every correct answer, candidates will get 3 marks. However, incorrect answer would bear negative marking i.e. loss of 1 mark against a particular question. Incorrect answers imply choosing wrong as well as more than one option. Thus, candidates should be fully attentive while giving their answers.

7.Aligarh Muslim University.
Aligarh Muslim University was established by Syed Ahmed Khan in the year 1875. This Muhammedan Anglo Oriental College gained the status of a full-fledged University in the year 1920. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Medical Entrance Exam is conducted for the admission of students to the MBBS and BDS courses. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Medical Entrance Exam is generally held in the end of May.

Eligibility for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
•Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS course should have passed the higher secondary or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
•Candidates are required to obtain at least 50% marks in aggregate (Chemistry, Biology and Physics taken together) in the entrance examination.
•Candidates should be at least 17 years of age.
Admission Procedure for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
•Application forms for Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Medical Entrance Exam 2011 can be obtained both in person and by post.
•This should be sent to the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh 202002.
•Candidates should also send an envelope with a postage stamp (Rs.90) attached to it.
•The name of the course should be clearly mentioned on the request letter.
•The completed application form along with a demand draft in favor of "the Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh" should be sent to Admission section, Office of the Controller of Examination and admissions, AMU, Aligarh.

8.Anamalai University Medical Entrance Exam


The Annamalai University is one of the premier institutes of education in India. It is a residential university that was established in the year 1929. The university was founded by the Honorable Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad.

Anamalai University offers a number of courses and programs for its students. The medical department of Anamalai University offers under graduate and post graduate programs under the departments of medical education and nursing. The following programs are offered by the university under its medical department:

Department of Medical Education

This department offers under graduate programs of M.B.B.S and B.P.T. The post graduate programs are offered for 18 subjects and post graduate diploma programs are offered in 10 subjects. The department also offers postgraduate degree program in Physiotherapy.

Department of Nursing

This department offers undergraduate degree program in nursing such as B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing as its postgraduate degree program in nursing.

Candidates who wish to apply to these courses are required to sit for an entrance exam conducted by the university. All the above programs are self financed courses.


Eligibility for Entrance Exam

Candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam are required to have passed their HSC examination with Biology or Botany and Zoology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects. Prospective candidates who will be appearing for their HSC or equivalent qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for the entrance examination for that current year.

Entrance Exam Criteria

The entrance exam is conducted for 100 marks. Candidates have to further sit for the qualifying exam and the interview round conducted by the university. Admissions to the various programs are done solely based on the marks obtained in the examinations and the interviews. The entrance exam includes 2 papers. The first paper includes the subjects of Botany and Zoology while the second paper includes Physics and Chemistry. The entrance exam questions are based on the syllabus of the second year of the Tamil Nadu HSC course.

The application forms for the entrance exam can be obtained in person or by post from the university treasury by payment of the requisite fee. The application forms are usually available during the month of February.

9.Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical Entrance Exam

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University conducts All India Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS courses in the following constituent colleges.

For admission to BAMS/BHMS: The candidates should have passed 10+2/HSC of equivalent examination in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST).
